no period for 8 months but...............................................

I have had no peiods for 8 months and have hadstomach pain for about 2 months. I went docs and they did some tests etc. I thought the pain was post op as my appendix burst about 2 months ago but the doctor called me and told me i am 6 weeks pregnant. I was ssooooo shocked. Also to make matters worse she said the blood results were not normal. I just started a period yesterday but the doc thinks i could be having a misscariage. Please help i have an apt with my doc tomorrow and im soo scared. I had no idea you could get pregnant without a monthly cycle. I have a ds who is 13 months and i adore him but not sure if i could cope with another baby. I maybe having a misscariage and I just need to hear from anyone who has been through this or any advice welcome.

No real advice LynseyM but wanted to send you cyber hugs. Is it a proper period your having? Do you have pain. I've known of a couple of people who've not had monthly periods and they've got pregnant. Thinking of you honey. xx

same as daisy , just read yuor post and wanted to send you my sympathies & hugs. I dont have advice , but Im sure if not tonight then may be tommorow someone will come on whos experienced in this area. x

Thanks folks.just been watching americas next top model and forgot about it all for a while. It is like a proper period with period pain. Just not sure whats happening, but will find out tomorrow.

Well afterall the blood tests etc it turns out the same day i found out im 6 weeks pregnant i misscarried. I just cant beleive this has happened it is such a shock. I see to have really bad bleeding and have no idea how long this will last but hoping to be back to norm asap. The hospital told me to rest and i do feel really tired and the stomach pain is like early labour, ouch.. how long till i feel well again. I just keep thinking if i had gone to my work on mon (busy contact centre) I would have een leaving covered in blood thank god i decided to go home

I'm so sorry to hear that hun. Having been through it myself I know how heartbreaking it is. Take care of yourself and take some paracetamol to ease the pain. It will get better.
