This is my second pregnancy. Dd is 2yo. I am currently 9 and half weeks and for the past few days my nausea has gone, I'm not getting those bouts of feeling starving and my boobs aren't as sore as they were. I have much more energy.

Someone reassure me that this is normal and my hormones are plateauing rather than it being a mmc.

There is a small chance I could be wrong about my dates. I could be 13 weeks, I only think this as I can clearly feel uterus above my pubic bone and I'm sure I've felt some flutters (felt dd at 12 weeks) which I know isn't possible at 9 weeks! I had a 4 day bleed which I assumed was a period but possibly not?!

Sorry for ramble, I'm driving myself nuts thinking about it.

Hey I would say that's completely normal hunni with my first I didn't have any symptoms my second they disappeared after a week if I even had it ! My third this one I'm almost 9 weeks and the opposite I'm panicking as I've got all the symptoms and have since 3 weeks and it's not getting any better lol. I would be glad knowing things r settling down. My post is a little below the third pregnancy one.
Congratulations but I'm sure all is absolutely fine x x x

Hi, i'm sorry i can't offer any reassurance but i came on to ask this exact question! Im 9.6 and up to wednesday felt horrendous and was often in bed by 6pm. On thursday i was eating buffet food at 8pm and the nausea seems to have stayed away ever since. i had a scan on Tuesday showing exactly the right things for my dates and a good heartbeat but after a mmc in july i cant stop worrying! Keep prodding my boobs to check if they're. sensitive Confused Is this normal or should i worry?

Hi I've just had my fourth baby and this happened to me with all my pregnancies around the 10 week mark the placenta takes over and this means a lot of women start to feel better (not everyone!) hopefully you're just some of the lucky ones :)
It's hard not to worry (I know I've also had 3 mcs) but hopefully this is just a sign that things are progressing as they should be.

leanne963 · 25/10/2014 14:01

Funnily enough i was beginning to worry today! My symptoms have died down a little the past few days! But I'm trying to convincelebrate myself everything is ok x

Gemzybelle · 25/10/2014 14:03

I posted on here at around the exact same time worrying about the exact same thing. I'm now well into my second trimester.

Try not to worry Thanks

I have been pretty much symptome less for the whole of my pregnancy. Am 25 weeks now.
I was dizzy for a day or two around implantation time and nausous when I didn't eat around my usual times and that was it really.
I only believed I was pregnant once I saw the heartbeat during the scan but even after I started doubting it again.
Its easier now the its bubbling around a lot.

Same worries here I am about 11wks and last 10 days or so my symptoms seem to have eased off. Have to wait till 7th for my scan tho.....

KittyandTeal · 25/10/2014 19:41

Ah that's good to know about the placenta. I vaguely remembered something about that from my last pregnancy when I had time to read all the books and work out just what was going on, bit different with a 2yo in tow

I still feel a bit off colour and the gym today knackered me out so fingers crossed it's all good.

I'm glad (in the nicest possible way) that I'm not the only one concerned/ worried :)

Hi KittyandTeal - have you been to the doctors or midwives etc, yet? Could you request and early scan? I had an early scan at 7 weeks due to some bleeding/spotting. I'm a worrier too, so I know how much over-thinking can drive you nuts! An early scan will hopefully put your mind at rest, and you'll be able to get a more accurate answer to how far along you are x

KittyandTeal · 26/10/2014 19:35

I've not even had booking app. They're not interested until you're at least 10 weeks here and early scams are for those who have had big bleeds or past mc both of which I'm lucky enough to not have experienced.

I think I'm just going to have to wait it out till 12 weeks. Tbh if something has gone wrong there's nothing I can do about it now. Saying that I've been off food/staving again today and yesterday was an 8.30 bedtime as I was so knackered so my slight symptoms seem to be returning a bit now.

Have you been to the doctors to make them aware of your pregnancy, or have you got a date for your booking appointment? You say there's a chance you could be 13 weeks, if you told the doctors this then hopefully they would put you in for a scan etc, sooner? Wishing you the best

Thisisimpossible · 27/10/2014 18:22

My symptoms dropped off at 9-10 weeks and I had a flat panic at the time. I also hadn't had my booking in appt (didn't have it til 11+5) - but when my midwife rang me to book it in I told her I was worried (no previous history of mc etc) and she very kindly booked me in for an early scan at 10+3.

Everything was ok thank goodness. Now 37+3. Try not to worry - the placenta does take over at around week 10 so the drop in symptoms could be down to that. Sending you positive vibes and best wishes.

Yes my hospital has been aware of my pregnancy since 4 weeks.

I was aiming to go to the mlu like last time but because of a complicated birth with my dd they are not allowed to book me as I need to be under consultant care, hence me having to go to the hospital.

I called yesterday to chase up appointment and was told they'll call back yesterday or today. Still waiting to hear.

I haven't had a chance to speak to anyone to tell them I may be further on. I only have the number for the antenatal ward, they don't deal with bookings but can never put me through to those who do as they're always busy. Therefore I end up having to wait.

It's all very different from dealing with the mlu, all the midwives knew us by name and it was very personal care. Such a shame I can't go there again.
