Following on from the Tam/Tammy thread - names to go with............

Tamuka (boys).

Tamuka would be the first name. Middle name needs to be (preferablly) British in origin, NOT common, and can't start with A, S or Y.

Think a one syllable name would go best...something like Joel, James, Dain, Kyle, Bryce, Bryn etc

To give you an idea what we've already got DS1 is Tafara Yehudi (yes I know it's not British....) and DS2 Tongai Scott.

QoQ - they are very unusual names! Really exotic sounding. If it diesn't sound like a crass David Brent question - what's their origin?

Tafara, Tongai and Tamuka are all Shona (Zimbabwean) names.

It is hard - reason for not having S and Y - quite obvious given my current DS's names - don't want the same initials. A would be wierd as the shortened name would be Tam, and his initials would also end up being T.A.M.

I do like James.....but it's been no.4 on the top 100 baby names in the UK for the last couple of years.......

I have a close friend with a Benjamin (she was the first person I told in RL after I told DH!). Also have a good friend with a Rowan, James (sorry too common), Noah - woman a few doors down with one of those, Peter, have 2 at church, Joseph (not keen on that one), Issac (would give him the initials TIM!), Ryan - have 2 of those in my family already.
