Anyone have any suggestions or experience of types of dress to wear if a number of months pregnant?! I will be 26 weeks, so quite big I expect. Anyone bought a "maternity" dress or order one from China or any suggestions for good shops that do off the peg dresses? (Bhs, Debenhams, Monsoon?) I do have a beautiful size 10 dress that already doesnt fir and due to boning in the top half of the dress there isn't even any point in getting it altered Blush

Tiffany rose and Seraphine do lovely maternity dresses. You can pick them up on eBay sometimes, if you wanted to save money.

I got married last month at six months pregnant. I really struggled to find a nice, non boring maternity wedding dress and ordered one from Tiffany Rose. It was nice, it just wasn't me so I returned it (their customer service was excellent, by the way). I found a really nice lace wedding dress at BHS and bought it in a size 16, I'm usually a 10, but I wanted there to be enough space for bump! I had it altered around the chest and armpits to fit. If you can't find anything you like, it might be worth looking at doing that.

Thanks Katniss- that's a good a good shout. How did you find your big day? Were you tired or just living off the adrenaline? Must find some decent flat shoes as well!

I got married when I was 23 weeks pregnant & we organised it in 3 weeks!! I had a lovely corset/bodice top that laced up the back so I had plenty of room to grow into it. I had a separate skirt that the bridal shop altered to fit my bump. It may be worth you visiting some bridal shops to see what they have, the ones I went to were so helpful.

Hello... And congrats!!!

I got married this month at 26 weeks in a Seraphine dress. Standard quality (=Monsoon), lovely design, customer service not great (sent me the wrong one then the one I wanted wasn't available anymore for weeks but managed to sort it out by myself with another style and got a full refund after chasing).

4 days before the wedding I got massive pelvis pain. Sorted it out with an osteoapath but had to switch from lovely heels to emergency flats. On the day, main issues were hormones (kept crying and crying...) and rock hard belly that only relaxed in bed at 5am!

It was a really great day and I'll never be as fat as in my wedding pictures which is a nice thing to think about for later :)))

Hope you have an amazing time, enjoy and on the day, take a minute to breath and reflect on how great it is xxx

Thanks again ladies. I start welling up even thinking about the day so I'm sure I'll be a blubbering mess - Might need to book my make- up lady to stay for the whole event! Going to a big bridal outlet place tomorrow so will see if I find anything that can be altered otherwise Tiffany Rose and Seraphine seem like good options x x

The day was amazing! I really enjoyed the ceremony and meal, but was completely worn out by the end of the evening reception. Flat shoes are a must. And I cried like a baby throughout!

Good luck with your dress hunting!

Oh gosh, i am due to get married in May 2015 and with recent discovery of pregnancy (we had only literally started trying again), i am going to be 8 months pregnant. I have seen some lovely ones on ebay but i am unsure about the quality. Most come from china and i have had clothes come from china before which have been lovely but im not sure if they are of 'big day' quality!! Hope all goes well for you on your big bay
