I just wore normal ones from primark Grin

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 23/10/2014 15:50

I just brought the ribbed style from Sainsbury a sz bigger as they r quite long.

I brought one cami style one from mamas n papas as needed under a sheer top for work

Primark do maternity vest tops n about 50p more than normal range rather than rip off like others

Also matalan do some online in maternity range for reasonable price

LouMum14 · 23/10/2014 15:53

Ohh I didn't realise Primark did maternity! That's great news for budget bump shopping, thanks eastmids!

katiegee · 23/10/2014 16:46

I bought some longer length ones from h&m and matalan... refused to spend the money on maternity ones after discovering they were twice the price of 'normal' vest tops! buying a bigger size didn't work for me as I have non-existent quite small boobs and bigger sizes just hung off me and I was constantly exposing my bra

I'm 39 weeks now and never out of he primark 'vest dresses' basically really long vests at £3.50 each Grin they are comfy and the length helps cover open trousers and skirts better - did also go a size up to accommodate the bump and boobs!!

woodwaj · 23/10/2014 18:14

I got some really nice ones in the new look sale at about 4 to 5 quid each x

Haha yes I was about to recommend primarks 'vest dress'! I'm usually size 8 and wearing a size 14 vest dress to work that's long enough to hide the fact my flies are wide open! It's not particularly flattering fit at the top so I tend to wear jumper or other top over it.

I also like my h&m one, better fit. No maternity gathering at the side but just bit longer at front and darts at side of the bust. Can wear it post pregnancy.

kusmile · 23/10/2014 20:37

The vests from ASDA are really comfortable and very stretchy, they're not maternity just normal ones. IIRC they were £2.50 each.

catellington · 23/10/2014 20:57

My favourites are new look maternity, good length.

KatnissEvermean · 23/10/2014 22:36

I just bought normal H&M vests, and have found them stretchy enough.

I found a few maternity bits in my local Primark and asked the staff about it, but they said they weren't getting more in because it didn't sell very well.

Knottyknitter · 23/10/2014 22:41

The one I'm getting most wear out of is a normal ribbed cotton one from sweaty Betty. Longer line than a lot as designed for yoga, but uber stretchy

Jodie1982 · 23/10/2014 22:43

Primark do Long Line ones for £3, I'm living in them at the moment, they r more of a Cami Dress. Excellent.

Mamab33 · 23/10/2014 22:49

Normal H&M and maybe a twin pack of their nursing ones, which have some support, which will be good until your size settles after birth.
