Had a termination last year for a congenital disorder and have subsequently fallen pregnant. All seems to be ok apart from that the baby consistently measures 6 days behind when I know he was conceived. Have my NT scan this week and am absolutely convinced its triploidy as he measures small. Also, at very start of oregnancy hcg levels were rising but not quite doubling. Absolutely terrified now. Can they even detect triploidy at this point? Problem before wasn't triploidy, I'm just guessing at that because of baby measuring behind. Should say, I've been scanned about 6x and he always grows as they expect, he's just six days behind when we last had sex. About 9 days out according to LMP. So scared, feel like running away. :(

How far are you? My baby measured 7 out at 9+4 also know this is not possible as I only DTD cycle day 10 and whilst it can last a while, I doubt 11 days is possible. But same happened with ds3 he was a week behind but then had caught up by the 12wk NT scan. Possible that you could catch up by yours too a few days. Xx

I'm 12 weeks according to me, 11 weeks according to them. Have been told sperm can live a while etc and no doctor really seems that bothered- all say it looks fine for their dates. I was scanned on Monday and still a week behind so it won't have caught up by 12 weeks

It isn't just the actual date you had sex that counts. As you say, sperm can live a few days. It also depends on when you personally ovulate and how long your cycle is. I'm pretty convinced there is some random voodoo at work too, as I haven't managed to get it to add up for either of my pregnancies.

What I'm saying is that discrepancies with dates are common and not necessarily a sign that anything is wrong. I completely understand why you are worried, and wish you all the best. But try not to stress yourself out too much. Good luck

I know, it's just I barely survived the last time and feel like I just got my life back together and now I'm so frightened again. I'm an absolute mess. Baby is v wanted but naively didn't think pregnancy would be this hard.

Hi Tolly

It's sounds like you've had a horrific time! I am so sorry to hear that.

Just wanted to second PPs who have said that discrepancies with dates are common and in all probability it is nothing to worry about although I can see why this is an anxious time for you.

I hope everything goes ok with your scan this week. Flowers
