Has anyone else been so out on dates?!

I had a 12 week scan today or what we thought was our 12 week scan

Not bled since July and periods are always on the dot.

When we went in today, baby is only measuring at 6 weeks :(

So disappointed but happy at we saw a heartbeat.

Just don't get how we are are so wrong on dates and how it's possible due to bleeding?

Hmmmm....when did you get your first positive on a pregnancy test?

I had a 21 week scan with DD and they informed me I was 25 weeks. Had tested negative the month before testing positive two weeks after due on date and then had a very light period, so naturally assumed I wasn't pregnant

Did they say anything at the scan? I showed up as 5 weeks when I should've been about 7 weeks at early scan then corrected back at 12 week scan but then ds was 2 weeks late so who knows! So are your dates 6 weeks out?

At scan they just said that baby is only about 6 weeks and have booked me in again in December

I just don't understand at all, I am so upset and has set me on a downer.

6 weeks is a long time to be out, I had a period 23 July (normal), cycle is normally 32-33 days but on the 11 August I bled for 1 day and had nothing since. I didn't take a test at all until about mid September because I didn't want to be disappointed because we have been wanting this and didn't want to out pressure on it and when I did it, it was positive so I had said that even if the 1 day I bled, that would still make me more than 6

Assuming you did have a period 11th August you should still be 10 weeks... It's possible you ovulated really late.

Have you had your booking appointment with midwife? I'd call them and ask for a scan in a couple of weeks

I was out by 4 weeks. Think I must have ovulated late.

I suppose I may have ovulated late.

Would you say it is possible for the August to have been 'a period'

I was confused at it only being 1 day and 2/3 weeks early!

And I has a booking app with the midwife just yesterday to go over the sheet, it was the midwife that said they always go by the last regular period so wasn't counting the day in August
