if you are really worried you can call the early pregnancy unit at your hospital

Garners · 02/10/2006 08:47

I think i may have had something similar when i was pregnant. Went to the docs and she said it was nothing to worry about. Still if your worried i'd go and get checked out and put your mind at rest.

lalibela · 02/10/2006 08:48

Had the same thing very early on, (I'm now 19 weeks) and all was fine. I think bleeding in early pregnancy is very common and you only need to worry if you have pain as well or begin to bleed more heavily. Perhaps you could give your GP/nurse a call for more advice?

it might be that but im sure the doc will sort you out keep posted on how you get on good luck i'm sure its nothing i know how worrying it is

ShowOfHands · 02/10/2006 09:15

I can't really add anything else, just to reiterate, it is very common to bleed a little in the first trimester.

I hope all goes well at the docs.

ledodgywizardrobespierre · 02/10/2006 09:15

I had this when pregnant and it turned out to be thrush that caused it so if you've got thrush already this will most likely be the reason as your cervix etc is more sensitive during pregnancy so more likely to graze.

NOredbullLOTSOFGAVISCON · 02/10/2006 12:18

just back from doctors ive got an appointment at the EPAU tomorrow at 2:15 my doctor said they wouldnt see me today as its not major bleeding, im now going to rest on the sette for the rest of the day and try not to worry

I had this when I was about 8 weeks (and didn't know I was pregnant). GP said it was perfectly normal.

nikie1 · 02/10/2006 12:36

yes keep your feet up good luck for tomorow let me no how things go

Monkeychopsmummy · 03/10/2006 10:16

I had this at 5 weeks with dull ache. I spent a day lying down (and worrying!)until I had a scan the following day at EPU. The spotting stopped soon after and I went on to have a very healthy pregnancy. Good luck this afternoon. I hope everything works out ok.

ShowOfSeveredHands · 03/10/2006 14:39

Thinking of you redbull, assume you've been seen by now.

NOredbullLOTSOFGAVISCON · 03/10/2006 16:58

just got back and everything is ok they think its due to my thrush, we had a scan and seen the heart beat i feel so much happier now
