Tights/short girl problems

I noticed today (I'm 10 weeks) that my tights are starting to feel a bit, well, tight around the waistband. I'd buy some new ones in a size up but I'm really short so the legs will be too long and wrinkly!

I'm definitely not ready for maternity tights yet, but does anyone have any tips/ideas for this in-between stage? I don't have any trousers for work so that's not an option, and I don't really want to buy any just yet as they won't fit me for long.

I rolled my tights below my belly till maternity ones fit. Im only 5"2 and bought some asos tights they were huuuuge i then chanced some h&m ones and they are perfect they would prob even do you now! I can post a pic of the packaging if you like?

Asos huge in leg length by the way. Fine on the bump!

Holdups Grin Maternity tights are really expensive, I'm 35 weeks and have been wearing holdups ever since I grew out of my normal tights - I'm 5'3" BTW

woodwaj that'd be really helpful, thanks Smile

I know I could just buy some cheapy ones in the next size up, but I'll look like Nora bloody Batty.

Get some cheap ones, and cut a little v shaped slit in the waistband so that they don't dig in. I haven't had to buy any maternity ones yet and I'm nearly 30 weeks Smile

I've just bought some h and m maternity tights and they are way too short! I'm 5ft 7. You could try those?

woodwaj · 20/10/2014 22:41

These are a size small! 12.99 for 2.

Another vote for taking the scissors to some existing tights.

I'm 5ft 2" and have never been able to stand a tight waistband on tights so always bought a size up pre pregnancy. Never found the leg length an issue? Maybe I have disproportionately long legs/short body! Grin get some cheapies in a large/extra large and give them a whirl? I am also a fan of cutting snips into the waistband to loosen it up!

I used to wear jogging bottoms back to front when I was PG, and they fit just right over my bump!
Would that work with tights?
