No heartbeat at 6 weeks 6 days

Hi - just wondered whether anyone has had a similar experience. I recently went for a private scan (after having 2 previous mc's, both at 71/2 weeks). I should have been 6w 6d but there was no heartbeat, fetal pole or yolk sac and pregnancy measured approx 5 weeks. I immediately resigned myself to the worst but GP has said that it might not be bad news. No bleeding as yet and still feel pregnant, although previous mc's we're missed mc's so I don't hold out much hope. Can anyone offer a glimmer of hope?

Hoping for the best for you. Are you certain on your dates?

I can cara. After two MCs (one missed, one not) I had weekly scans for my last pregnancy and saw pretty much what you describe. The consultant told me it was fine, I had probably got my dates wrong (I absolutely hadn't) but I was devastated. A week later and the foetus was viable. DC2 is now playing happily upstairs.

Unfortunately there's absolutely no way of telling at this stage what is going in. It's horrible and I really feel for you. Be kind to yourself and think positive thoughts. That's literally all you can do.
