Booking a massage on due date?

People have suggested that it would be a good idea to book a spa treatment (pregnancy massage, pedicure, etc) for my due date, as something to look forward to / consolation if the baby doesn't come.

Is this something that's commonly done?

What if the baby ends up coming after all? Wouldn't the spa be upset if I cancel at the last minute?

I'm 39 weeks by the way, but there are no signs the baby is coming, and I'm getting impatient. TBH I'd dearly love a massage!

Yes definitely check their cancellation policy! Many places will charge if you cancel with less than 24/48hrs notice. So either accept that you might lose the money, or go somewhere like a walk-in nail bar where you don't have to pre book.

Or maybe book a meal out with your partner instead? Restaurants can happily fill places for last minute cancellations. Good luck with your last few days/(weeks)!

^^ That sounds like a good idea, thanks!
