....in one easy step.

Just had a phone call from the midwives for me to go back in for repeat bloods as my results are 'not what they would have expected'.

Asked what was up and was told it was best to discuss face to face [huh] . So I'm going back in Thursday for more bloods.

I do have a cold now but when my bloods were done (the 7th, when I had my nuchal scan) I didn't. So I'm a bit twitchy. Have had my letter back to say The pregnancy is low risk for Downs.

Oh bloody hell! Hope it's nothing and they're just very tactless.

I would ring back and ask to speak to someone who can give you a bit more information. Either that or get you an appointment today/tomorrow. It's unreasonable to expect you to wait until Thursday with no explanation at all. You will obviously worry!

That's awful! I'd definitely be calling back to ask for more info. Hope it's nothing serious.

I don't know why the 'the' in 'the pregnancy' capitalised. It will annoy me!

I asked again while she was on the phone and she did say they were sure it was nothing to worry about, to be fair, and that it was just a check to get the bloods done again. I meant to put that in the original post - sorry.

Has still made my bum twitch and my mind race though! I seem to remember they were a bit like this when I had DD - lots of extra checks which while it shit me up at the time, usually turned out to be nothing. (I say usually, DD's umbilical swab came back positive for Strep B, but I didn't know until I had the booking in appointment for this pregnancy Confused .)
