Been to see GP today for antenatal referral, a bit later than most probably but just wondering what happens next.

She didn't say much she just asked a few general health questions and said that the midwife would contact me.

When I had ds they came out to do a home visit at about 10 weeks followed by a a dating scan at around 12 weeks. But not sure if things have changed.

Do you get grilled? I know last time there were just loads of questions such as whether I drink, smoke, take drugs, whether my partner is a blood relative, whether I've had terminations in the past. I know they have to ask but it feels intrusive.

The same questions I was asked by the midwife, as it all goes into your maternity notes. It saves them having to ask again!!

I haven't had a home visit, and I am 30+6 but different areas do different things!

Be aware that they might not contact you! I was told that by the GP, but weeks passed and it turned out I needed to arrange my own midwife appointment for booking in.
