Can I eat and drink before / during an induction?

Just that really!

Sorry if its a really stupid question but read an old thread earlier where someone mentioned that they weren't allowed to.

Being induced tomorrow at midday, unless I experience some sort of miracle and baby decides she wants to come out tonight. So if I can't eat once I'm at hospital I intend to have the worlds biggest breakfast tomorrow!

Thanks x

Yes I was allowed to eat. The only time I couldn't was when I had the epidural in as apparently it can make some people sick, but I probably would have been fine if I had as I felt ok.

My induction started at 10am on a Friday, and dd wasn't born until 1.53am Sunday morning so I would have been starving if I wasn't allowed to eat Shock
