Can anything be done about vaginal/vulval varicose veins?

best thing to do is avoid standing for long periods of time, , soit with your feet up, also try sitting on an ic e pack as that can help with the aching, fwiw, i had them during pregnancy but they cleared up once i delivered.

So they're not like piles that get worse once you've delivered?

I had them, too, and they definitely got better as soon as I'd delivered.
Not nice, though, but nothing to add to Space cadet's advice.

Thank goodness for small mercies!

no honestly, i had horrendous ones, but once id had dd they vanished.

PrettyCandles · 01/10/2006 17:18

Standing doesn't seem to trigger them, it's sitting on the loo for more than a few seconds that does the job, so every time I have to do anything other than wee...out they pop.

Sorry, you really didn't need to know that.
