How far along am I?

This probably sounds like a stupid question to the seasoned pregnancy professionals out there, but....

I know I conceived on 18th August, however my last period was 20th July, so how far along in my pregnancy would I be?

According to a pregnancy calculator I would be 13 weeks along, however I know myself to only be 9 weeks.

Can anyone please confirm how this would be measured?

I have a scan next week, so I'm sure they will be able to tell me, but in the meantime....

Pregnancy is counted from the first day of your last period. So you would be around 13 weeks pregnant right now :)

As plinky says officially its counted from last period until 12week scan. Then they will alter dates according to what scan says.

But you are definitely more than 9weeks if you conceived 9weeks ago, as the first 2weeks of pregnancy you are not actually pregnant for - so conception 9weeks ago would be around 11weeks pregnant (9+ the 2 additional weeks).

If you conceived 9 weeks ago, you are likely to be 11 weeks pregnant.
Before scan, a rough date is given as weeks since last period, but it only works well if you have a 28 day cycle....
