Can I use my nursing bras from last time round?

I'm 15 weeks pregnant with number 2 and need to go get a decent maternity bra fitted ASAP. I've still got my nursing bras from last time round, does anybody know if they'll be OK to wear after birth when my milk comes in? They aren't underwired so I assume they can't wear out but I've never had a second baby before so I don't know!

why would they not be ok?

If they fit wear them, would be my thoughts.
I had 1 nursing bra that cost me £60 as I have massive boobs. If it fits when I have dc2. I will be wearing it.

If they fit then yeah.

If they fit & you want to wear them why not?
As soon as I finished breastfeeding DC1, all my nursing bras went in the bin, they were minging! Mind you they were all cheapy ones Wink

I plan to use mine not been measured but feel around same sz as before. Mine were all Miriam Stoppard one's n white so have soaked in oxi white stain remover n boil washed n hung in sunshine over summer n come up ok May wash again before baby arrives at end Nov.

I reused mine.
Especially as I'd had to buy 2 lots in 2 sizes. I started out with enormous boobs that slowly shrunk over a couple of months and then had to buy smaller ones.

I've never stopped wearing mine as I didn't stop breastfeeding the last one until halfway through this pregnancy!

pookamoo · 19/10/2014 21:57

I never got my fit checked the second time around and my nursing bras were the wrong size. I only discovered this when I had painful "blebs" (milk blisters) on my nipples recurrently.

Get them checked for fit, but if they are the right size, surely no reason why not?

They'll be fine as long as they fit.

As an aside, you probably don't need a special maternity bra you know. You can wear underwire and normal bras as long as the fit is good.

Maternity bra = equalled bra scrounged of bigger sister, likewise maternity coat.
