Don't know what happened!! On phone!

I'm 39 weeks today and almost collapsed while grocery shopping. Good thing DH was along.
Drank some water.
Went straight home after paying for groceries and lied down. But still feel dizzy, nausea's, and my head sometimes turns very hot and I start to feel like I'm getting a panic attack due to not getting enough air!

I had from Sunday till Friday morning contractions! But saw my doctor on Thursday and cervix was closed.

I'm not sure if this is normal, like a sign of labour starting soon or should I be worried?

Hi Hartmel do you also have a bit of a headache and pain under you breast bone/ top of bump? I had this at 39 weeks and I had to go in for monitoring as they suspected Pre-Eclampsia. If you are at all concerned phoned triage and describe your symptoms. Hope you're ok.x

amy83firsttimer · 18/10/2014 19:31

I immediately thought pre-eclampsia too. Better safe than sorry.

hartmel · 18/10/2014 19:49

Yes have a bit of a headache. If I extent my hand it starts shaken.

No don't have pain in breast area or ribs..

Phone the midwife. Im sure it will be fine but no point taking any risks x

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 18/10/2014 19:54

Hi Hartmel, please get yourself checled over. Your Blood Pressure may well be high which is a sign of pre eclampsia.

Please pop.and see someone.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 18/10/2014 19:54

You are in the US arent you? Do you have am OBGYN you can call?

hartmel · 18/10/2014 19:55

The thing is that I don't have a midwife. Live in a town with limited midwife's. and unfortunately I was not lucky to get one!
My doctor is pretty busy and I won't see him till Friday!

I'm in bed and it slowed down a bit if it continues i will go to a&e

Yeah do that, go anywhere where you can get your blood pressure checked by a nurse or doctor xx

Bellyrub1980 · 18/10/2014 19:57

I think they also do a urine test for preeclampsia.... For protein I think?

merlehaggard · 18/10/2014 20:04

I had just dizzyness whilst pregnant and it was vaso vagel syncope.

Biscoff · 18/10/2014 20:07

You need to get your bp checked ASAP

bronya · 18/10/2014 21:32

Have you drunk enough water today? I was getting lots of dizziness and my bp was too low because I wasn't drinking enough. Currently 39 weeks and still get spells of it, but what works for me is to drink a couple of glasses of water, have a snack and lie down for a bit. If that didn't work, I'd suspect something more wrong...

hartmel · 19/10/2014 01:47

Did drink a lot of water and had a snack and about half an hour later I felt better!
Plus got some Braxton hicks after that too..
