So..... 36+5 here and finally getting some unpleasant pregnancy side effects. Near constant burping and reflux plus at least 3 poos per day!!! What's the name of the stuff you can take that's safe? Is it ranatadine? Any other tips?

Try gaviscon advance (you have to ask for it behind the counter) a consultant told me that it is only the advance that has anti reflux properties, the others are just antacids. You can take ranitidine but it may need to be prescribed if you are pregnant

Ranitidine works wonders and you can get it on prescription.

Yep get mine there :) can't be arsed trying to see a doc for prescription to save the odd quid here n there. Midwife said it's fine n did in last pregnancy gp said he would only prescribe gaviscon last time so I went to chemist next door n brought ranitidine hence the can't be arsed to have the conversation this time
