Im so so uncomfortable (39 weeks today) and not sure how much of it is babys head (3/5s engaged) and how much of it is something else.

MW found a trace of protein in my urine in Thurs but wasnt concerned at all. Ive had two nights of 3min contractions for about 1.5hrs at a time which stopped with a bath and paracetamol.

My pubic bone feel bruised and tender which im assuming is babys heads doing, but there is also a real "red raw" feeling in my uterus.

Im.peeing more than normal but expect that, and theres no pain when I wee so Im not inclined to jump immediatley to UTI but it is playing on my mind.

Where would I even be check for that on a Saturday? Or should I just ring the docs on Monday and see if I can take a urine sample around?

A urine infection at 39 weeks can be very serious. Get yourself seen by a doctor or midwife and checked out as soon as possible. Good luck and I hope all goes well.

Might it be something I can go to the Pregnancy assessment unit for or do I need a walk in centre? Our walk in centre is now at the Hospital and we all gave to be triaged through A&E for it. Bloody pain in the arse!!

No prbs.

I rang my doctor who were open this morning and she said they dont do urine tests at weekends and to go to Walk In. As I didnt need to pee I waited til I could collect a sample and by tge time I nexr needed to pee the pains had gone Confused

So Im just back to thinking its late pregnancy pains, but have the sample incase things change tomorrow.
