Recently found out I'm pregnant. DH and I are delighted though a little shocked as it has happened straightaway. I assumed it would take a while.

I am obviously excited but...in a reserved way. Only my DH and I (and you lot) know at the moment. I don't really mention it at all. I'm not convinced that something will go wrong exactly but I just don't feel that I can get properly excited until the 12 week scan.

Totally normal. I've had my 12 week scan and still can't relax.

congratulations :)

It also happened very quickly for us too, we were quite shocked to say the least - but in a good way!

We didn't tell anyone until after our 12 week scan as we were both a little apprehensive that it happened so easily. I would say it was close to 20 weeks before we started to get excited. I'm now 32 weeks and all is going well.

katie I feel exactly the same. Like it was "too easy" and therefore something might go wrong.

I've an appointment Tuesday coming with the midwife, think I'll be about 7 weeks by then.

It sound bizarre, but until the 12 week scan I don't think I can quite believe I am actually pregnant. Despite having plenty of the usual symptoms. And getting a strong positive on the apparently not very sensitive Clear Blue tests. I wish someone had told me about the tiredness though! Was not expecting to want to be in bed by 8:30pm every night. That goes away doesn't it? Doesn't it?!
