how far along am i? need advise!

hello, i found out i was pregnant on October 1st :) Im over the moon and cant wait for my little bundle of joy to arrive.
only problem is, from the date from my last period i would be 7 weeks on monday! but everyone is saying i look further along! which i do.
in august i had problems with my stomach! i felt ill all the time and really bolted and i remember i had one day in the middle of august i had a day of light bleeding! doctors thought i had cysts on my overies but they didnt find anything, i had my period at the start of septemeber but i was painful and made me ill but wasnt as heavy as i normally get them, i did take a pregnancy test at start of september too but was negative - could it have been too early for a postive! the same feeling i had in august is the same i have had in september to now! could i have got pregnant in august instead of september? since i have moved recently i havent been able to see midwife but do have an appointment next week :D

You won't know until your scan, really. I developed a significant 'bump' at 5 weeks but it's actually just bloating from a shift in hormones! It's possible your light bleed wasn't a period, but implantation bleeding.

Only time will tell!

Well, you could be further along thankyou think, or you could just be unlucky with amount of bloating. Or it could be twins?

I'm in a similar place and have now resigned myself to not knowing for definite until scan (hopefully in the next 10 days).

On the plus side the spare tyre I have had around my waist for the last two years has graduated to being a bump, by my latest calculations!

I do have twins in my generation! im hoping im further along :)
