Horrible taste

I'm currently 18+4 and have a really horrible bitter taste in my mouth that I can't get rid of! I suffer hyperemesis and this taste just makes me feel even more sick! It's not the standard irony taste you hear about, it's a bitter, disgusting taste I can only describe as the taste of morning breath but permanently. I had it with ds but don't remember it being this unbearable Hmm

Has anyone else had this and if so do you have any suggestions? Mints and chewing gum only make it worse! It sounds like a minor problem but it's driving me nuts!

Yes I had it!

I didn't suffer from horrendous sickness but had nausea until about 18/19 weeks and this constant rancid taste in the back of my mouth - I started to wonder if I had oral thrush or something and I could have spend all day brushing my teeth!

It went away at about 19/20 weeks although it has come back again a bit recently(33 weeks) although not as bad.

I had accupuncture to help with the nausea so no idea if that helped with the taste or not but I was really miserable with it and worried that it wouldn't go away even after baby arrived!

Chewing gum helped me a bit but nothing really helped all that much I'm afraid!

blueberry I know exactly what you mean. It tastes like death and won't go away no matter what. Someone suggested sucking a lemon but I haven't tried that myself and don't particularly fancy it. I'd also be keen to hear of any advice for getting rid of this as I think it keeps the nausea and urge to vomit going.

Tried lemon - it just makes my vomit very acidic Sad it didn't go away at all in my last pregnancy so I'm not really hopeful it will this time, guess I'm hoping someone has a magical cure!
