I am currently 5-6 weeks pregnant and for the past couple of days have been getting some lower abdominal cramps. I was aware of them but dismissed it as from reading on here and previous posts it loooked like it was normal.
Yesterday, i started getting really sharp stitch like pain that was making me feel sick. I was peeing fine and had some slight back ache and no bleeding. I spoke to the early pregnancy centre and they advised to monitor overnight. However, when i got home from work last night, the pain was worse and moving into my groin.
I called the ward and they told me to come in, took some blood and urine sample then told me to go for an internal scan this morning eith the early pregnancy centre.
I had the pain all night, despite painkillers and it woke me up this morning. I have a 'full' heavy feeling in my pelvis and when i called the centre, I felt that the midwife minimised my situation and made me feel as if I was being a bit precious. I am booked in for a scan this afternoon but I feel a bit upset to be honest, this is my first pregnancy and I have no reference to compare it to.
I will go for the scan but I would hate to think that I was wasting their time.
What do you think?
Thanks in advance :)

Don't take it personally, I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks and the EPU were very cold and treated me like a number not a person, although I cannot speak for all units, in my experience I think before you hit that 12 week point they cannot do much to change the outcome so they are less interested. Get yourself checked out and take care of yourself xx good luck xx

They see/hear lots of us worrying at 5-6 weeks, at the end of the day we need reassurance. I think they're like that because there's nothing they can do if anything is wrong.

I too had a scan at 5-6w after pain/bleeding and was made to feel silly. All we could see was sac/yolk sac so please don't torture yourself if you don't see your bean.

Take care of yourself & rest, I thought I could carry on as normal but I hit morning sickness/tiredness. Feel fab now at 22w & my beans beating me up internally ? x

Thanks a lot guys :)
I had my scan, everything was fine thankfully and I got to see my wee bean too. Was made to feel a bit silly but I feel so much better after some reassurance x
