Can't say I've eve felt like having a rummage when 38 weeks pregnant!!

misdee · 30/09/2006 14:17

i wouldnt have been able to reach for a rummage

i'd say you were 2-4weeks off delivery......

if you can have some sex that might speed things up.

The head could be there all engaged and ready. And if you've had a show it could be a few days to labour!!! You better pack your bag anyway I say. Are you having many braxton hicks contractions?

i was courious after reading a thread on here about cervix, so being as nosy as i am i wanted to have a look.

I can feel the babies head and my pelvis, just wondered if thats were it sits before it engages or if thats as low as it goes before apearing. i have been having tons of braxton hicks contractions....

I feel like a freak now!

Actually not sure with second babies the head often doesn't engage until sometimes last minute I think. It could still be a couple of weeks til you go into labour or any time soon. That's the crazy thing about the last bit of pregnancy, you never know when its going to happen! I don't think you are a freak for nosying around though.I have tried to feel what's happening down below myself occasionly

Ok in the interests of scientific research I've had a rummage now (I'm 4mnths preg) The bottom of my uterus is absolutely miles away from my pelvic bones.

thirtysomething · 01/10/2006 14:31

with both of mine my show preceded birth by exactly 7 days, and my second baby's head was fully engaged for about 3 days prior to labour. I felt as if I could feel it pressing down every time I walked and eventually the pressure broke my waters. Good luck!
