Early labour?

Hello ladies! 35 weeks 4 days, 2nd baby.
Since last Friday my ever increasing braxtons started to get a little bit of pains attached to them. Not always but since then it's happened quite a lot. Yesterday I had some loose bowels and then for the rest of the day I was convinced I'd have diarrhoea again (tmi) but nothing came. This then turned into lower back ache and more pains last night.
I woke in night with back ache too and then this morning I had what I can only describe as period pains. That heavy feeling you get as though it's a drawing ache, when having braxtons. It's eased again to but I seem to still have this feeling of needing the lav and then nothing. I am continuously weeing though. Baby is very active an I've had no waters leaking and no show. Any ideas? Is it just pregnancy?

Congratulations on your pregnancy :)

You have 2 options I guess.. Since now it has eased you can wait and see. Relax, go about with your day OR you can call your MW and let her know whats happening. Whats great is that your baby is active and if you were to have the baby tonight at nearly 36 weeks it would be healthy.
She might tell you to come in or she might tell you to call her back if it starts cramping up again.

How are you feeling now?
Was your first labour early?

Hello! Thanks for your response!
No, my son was induced on due date and I only reached 5cm when he became distressed and I had an emergency c section, so I've not really experienced this bit before.
I'm ok, just tired and keep feeling like I need the loo. Pains have defo subsided. They seem to be worse mornings and evenings. I guess I'll wait and see. Midwife is Friday.

Well my labour started with period pain types that came and went for like 20 mins, then pain again (mild) then went and gradually got closer. But everyone is so different. I never had the need to go to the bathroom for example but so many of my friends did.. All that to say you could be in the early stages of labour and it could just be your body getting ready for labour in a few weeks?
Why dont you call your MW and just let her know how you have been feeling? Make sure your baby is moving around ok, take it easy and see what she says. You wont be bothering anyone by calling and it will put your mind at rest.

Exciting to think your body is getting ready and you will soon meet your little one :)

Thanks for your advice. I just don't like to be a pain in the bum. She's very active and so I don't think there's any real problems.

I know! Can't wait to meet her! This pregnancy has just flown.

ahh I know the feeling of not wanting to be a pain but you are not being one at all. Have you given her a call? If you have any doubts you should call, just explain. I used to always apologise profusely each time I called as I felt so annoying but they were so kind and always put my mind at rest.
Hope the pain has still subsided and you have stopped going to the bathroom.

Best of Luck ! xx

I've had a few niggles but nothing like yesterday or this morning. Toilet is the same :(
I haven't called yet. Thought I'd leave it until tmw, see how this evening pans out. It seems to be worse at night and morning.
Thank you very much!
Are you expecting too?

Hope you sleep well :) xx
