All tips and advice welcome to get things moving

I sulked like mad on my due date, then went into labour at 6pm and had the baby at 10pm. At the time I felt like it was never and could never happen… this was second baby, first one was 5 days late.

Good luck- last few hours/days/weeks feel endless. Oh and I wouldn't do anything to get things moving, I would just sulk, nap if you can, and book nice things like meals out, haircuts and massages in the hope of cancelling them. And switch your phone off if people are being irritating… Take care,all the best.

This is my 3rd was hoping things would of progressed as my last baby was born last July lol

I was due yesterday, so today I'm feeling a bit grumpy and hormonal... my husband reminded me this morning that I could have up to 2 weeks more and I cried! Feeling better after breakfast but ooooh, the last days are hard aren't they? Took some paracetamol for the aches and niggles and just plan to nest today and maybe go out for dinner as something to look forward to.

I am due tomorrow and had hospital appointment today. When she told me to make another appointment for next week I nearly cried. my ds was 5 days late but this time round that feels like a lifetime. I think sulking sounds good wee bairn. I just need this wee one out. Good luck ladies and fingers crossed for a not too distant newborn cuddle (in denial about the exhaustion and cracked nipples).

due today too and im definitely sulking! My midwife attempted a sweep today but my cervix is firmly closed so fed up! ive become properly hormonal and clingy these past few days as well which doesnt help, poor DH is doing all the hours he can to get things finished up before the baby arrives but part of me's started to think it just never will!! I was feeling pretty calm about the idea of giving birth, but the closer an induction gets the more scary it seemsâ?¦ get these babies out!!

Oooh i'm 40 weeks today too! The idea of another 10 days groans Had a sweep this morning, or tried to, cervix soft but baby's head isnt low enough so when midwife goes to sweep the cervix just pushes away. So all she could do was a sort of half assed massage on the outer end. So effectively useless I imagine. Ive had no signs, nothing, not a niggle.

40 plus 4 here. Sweep yesterday, no joy. Feeling pretty down about the whole thing. :(

40 weeks on Saturday. Had a sweep last Friday. Had a show and nothing since! Got another sweep booked for this Friday and if still no baby induction on Monday.

I don't feel like I'm full term or that i will go into Labour on my own at all! But various threads tell me I could be surprised!

I am now jealous of all those people who are popping out babies. when the midwife said they will induce at 12 days over I could feel the tears well up...

pepper I was 40+5 when I had ds and my first sign was a huge, fuck off contraction. No show, waters etc, so it may well just happen for you. This is such a different pregnancy that it I don't think this one will be the same.

I have induction looming a week today. I've tried everything I can think of, I have another sweep booked in on Monday next week, but it just doesn't feel like it will happy any time soon.

Me too!! I am sure I will know when it actually happens, but in the interim every little twinge is worrying me!

That and being asked twice daily by OH's mum if I've had any twinges yet, and I am a nervous wreck!!!

Well still pregnant keep getting lower back ache which doesn't turn into anything grrrr!!!
Roll on sweep Tomo hopefully get this baby packing lol

Yeah, one booked in on Monday, and then inducing after that Wednesday if no joy. Come on baby! :)

39w2d here and just desperate for baby to arrive. I'm sick, tired, swollen and can't sleep. Baby hasn't grown since my last MW appt nearly 2 weeks ago after a history of poor growth (been measuring at home throughout and am always in agreement with her). So I measure 34cm at 39 weeks. Surely baby would be better OUT?!!!

I was measuring small only 2cm they said in my area they give or take 2cm

Surely you would be having a growth scan? I would ring them and demand one !!

I had my 40 week check other day didn't even check measurements for some reason,

Had one at 34 weeks when she dropped from 98th to under 25th centile. I'll probably have another one at my appt next week if she's not come by then. My horses think I'm due any minute - they are following me around like pet dogs at the moment. So hope they're right!!!!!!!

I'm 40 weeks tomorrow! Got a sweep booked tomorrow so I'm hoping it will get things moving.

Tons of Braxton Hicks, some even quite painful, but nothing else. DSes 1 and 2 were both late, so not holding out much hope for this one.

Also measuring small for dates but mw hasn't seemed too concerned so I guess I'm within normal parameters!

Had a crap pregnancy and felt like death for months so I just want my life back!
