Hi, I am 30 weeks preggers and have just had a really weird pain which took my breath away, it was low down and lasted a few minutes. This is baby number two but I didn't get BH with dd. Just wondering if this was a BH?

A tightening - not necessarily painful, but can be.

They feel like a tightening around your tummy, the way I descibed them was, imagine your bump is a blown up balloon almost to the maximum, and then more is is pushed in.

Thanks, it deffo wasn't that. More like a peiod pain.

It could be a braxton hicks, mine were'nt painful, but I believe when they are, you dont necessary notice the tightening.

It's like every muscle in your tummy tightens up, them relaxes.

You OK, lucy?

lucy5 · 29/09/2006 23:22

I'm ok MM, just in a little bit of pain, maybe it's where the baby is sitting.

Probably is - pressing on a nerve or similar. Can you have a warm bath and go to bed?

lucy5 · 29/09/2006 23:31

Well I'm off to lie down and see if I can shift the little bugger!

Dont knock it, they are much less trouble on the inside

Hope you get some rest
