How long to get a booking appointment?

Long story short, our GP is a buffoon. Without going into too much detail, he caused a four week delay in us being referred to St Mary's in Manchester. The receptionist told me the referral went to the hospital on Friday just gone. On Saturday her indoors reached 11 weeks.

So - are St Mary's likely to be super fast, or will we need to pester them about the booking appointment and dating scan? We need the scan doing in the next ten or twelve days because we're old farts and the nuchal translucency scan seems rather a good idea.

P.S. I'm running round after these things because she's a teacher and can't.

I think it's best to pester but as the hospital was only contacted on Friday it might be worth giving it a couple of days. Phone at the end of the week if you've not heard by then.
