4 pregnancy tests, 2 postive and 2 negative!

Here goes...
In August I had a miscarriage but didn't even know I was pregnant, I was around 5-6 weeks. I started taking the pill again and had a period in September. This month however, I am late so yesterday decided I would do a pregnancy test today.

I got up this morning and did a standard strip test which looked negative but when I looked after 2 minutes there was a faint line. I then went out and got a boots own one which was negative (but I didn't leave it for that long because I admit I was relieved it was a neg!)
When I got home I was still unsure so did another test and it was positive, but very faint line. After worrying myself I called my partner and he bought in a digital clearblue test which has told me I am not pregnant.

I am only 3 days late today so I am wondering whether the 2 negatives are negative because I am in the very early stages or whether the 2 positives are wrong?! Could they be coming up positive because of the miscarriage I had? I have read that the digital ones can be unreliable when you haven't got a lot of pregnancy hormones in your first couple of weeks of pregnancy.

I don't have many symptoms other than sore boobs/nipples, feeling bloated and cramps like I would have with a period, so I am wondering whether I might just be late.

When would be the best time to do another one and what are your thoughts here? I haven't been pregnant before other than the miscarriage I had in August and I don't have any children. I have zero experience so hoping some of you guys can help me!

hiya, hope you don’t mind me asking about your false positive. i bought the 99p sainsbury’s own test and took the test even though i had been on the combined pill and used a condom. me and my partner also haven’t had sex for 7 weeks and i’ve had two periods since then. either way when i took the test it was positive. how did you know it was a false positive? i have taken 6 more tests and they are all negative so i’m very confused x

Hello. Iv had two positives on white strips <
( cheap tests )and two clear blue negatives ?? Anyone else had this ! I must be really early as the lines are really faint but I thought clear blue would of put my mind at rest but I’m none of the wiser , I’m not due on till another 15 days , I’m in shock and don’t really no what to think , I don’t even no why I took the test ..... Confused

Hello 3 days ago I took 2 Pregnancy test (clear blue) to be exact and they both came out positive. The next day I took to more (1st response) they came out negative and today I got my period what dose that mean ? Am I pregnant or I'm not ? Are they false positives?

4 pregnancy tests, 2 postive and 2 negative!

@Dstephany12 I’d say false positive. The line doesn’t look right at all (very thin and in the wrong place).

Regenbogen22 · 30/05/2022 04:55

@Dstephany12 dodgy tests or a chemical pregnancy

Dstephany12 · 30/05/2022 09:02

Thank you.. it looked wired to me in the first place. thats why I retook them.

Dstephany12 · 30/05/2022 09:11

@Regenbogen22 what does that mean chemical pregnancy?

Regenbogen22 · 30/05/2022 09:50

@Dstephany12 it's when an egg was indeed fertilised and implanted long enough to cause the release of HCG, which gave the positive line on the test. But for whatever reason the egg doesn't stick and comes away with the period (on time or a bit late) and the positive test lines fade.
"Chemical" because the chemical HCG was released. But nothing would have been seen on a scan.
