Hello!

New to Mumsnet but need some opinions! Im pregnant with my 2nd child (as above). Only I feel as though & appear to look big for gestation! I know, usually, 2nd pregnancies tend to be bigger but just wondering what others' thoughts are?? I haven't approached midwife yet. Im 5ft 7in, normal weight 9 1/2 stone, so considered "normal" weight/BMI. Still worrying about Gest. diabetes!!?? Thanks x

I wouldn't worry too much yet, I'm having my first and everyone comments on how big I am. I spoke to my consultant who said that sometimes bumps grow at different rates and some people have a growth spurt at the start and then they don't grow as fast as others, you could also be starting to gather lots of fluid. Basically, people should keep there opinions to themselves! X

I had this with my first- huge bump. Was tested for gest diabetes (negative) and extra scans for my potentially big baby. He came out at a fairly average 7lb12. I'm 28 weeks now and have been getting the same comments. Really not bothered this time- it's just the way I carry! Also I think I grew a lot in 1st and 2nd trimester then settled in the 3rd so maybe the same will happen again? The comments are annoying though.
