Partner not liking my growing bump!

So to start this baby is very much wanted by both of us.
While I'm loving my growing bump and excited at its every kick my other half is finding it very difficult.
He doesn't like the look (although I'm still sexy to him), feel and he really doesn't like seeing it wiggle. He try's to avoid touching it even if we're just having a snuggle. Sex is especially difficult as I'm aware he's trying to avoid touching bump.
Anyone else having the same or has had a similar experience?

My boyfriend was totally freaked out by my bump. He was put off sex because of it too. I don't remember my feelings about it, but I don't think I was too bothered to be honest. When baby came I think it made him realise what an amazing thing my body had to do to grow his child. He kept saying how proud he was. I don't think he was as bad towards the bump at the end of the pregnancy. He would lay his head gently on my bump and talk to the baby. I'm sure with time your partner will become used to idea of your bump. We used to spoon in bed and baby would kick daddy in the back. I think with us, we've become used to having a living thing inside us, loving it from the very start with that bond already made, but for the dad's it can take a little longer. Try not to take it to heart, you said he still finds you sexy so that's brilliant :).

Some people just find it weird. My DD doesn't like pregnant bellies and my boss also finds them disturbing. Both female, so its not gender specific!

Hi, my bumps freaked me out. I just thought it looked completely alien on me and it felt weird. I likened my appearence to a conservatory on the middle floor of a high rise building Grin The kicking made me queasy and was really painful at times. EXP thought i was very strange for feeling that way but i couldnt help it.

It took a while for my DP to get used to! At first he would physically move away when baby kicked but now he is more confident about the whole thing and will give the bump a rub from time to time.

Thanks everyone. I'm trying not to take it personally. Bump is definitely getting hard to avoid now. Think he'll just have to suck it up.
