If I can't keep anything down including water?
I feel really strange and I've just developed a headache.

Problem is I'm not sure if they antenatal can take me cause I don't have a midwife yet. Any advice?

I'm worried about the little one.

How many weeks?

callamia · 12/10/2014 11:07

Yes. No one will tell you off, or make you feel like you're being silly. Go, and at least make yourself feel calmer, or get some treatment if you need it. Hope everything is ok.

I'm not sure I thought I was a lot less than I actually am. Though I was about 12ish originally turns out I'm probably about 9-10. I've got a gp appointment next week but if there's something wrong I'd rather not wait.

Absolutely go, they won't mind & you'll have piece of mind.

Should I ring the antenatal or go to A&E?

A&E I think. They might want to put you on a drip and can give you anti sickness meds.

SpottyTeacakes · 12/10/2014 11:13

Oh and I hope you feel better soon, must be horrible for you.

hartmel · 12/10/2014 11:15

Yes go in. That's sounds like the same symptoms I had with my first around the same time as you are now! I went in and good thing I did as I was so dehydrated that I was put on IV to get some liquid in my body after that I felt better. The headache went away and I could drink and eat!
But for the strangest thing I could not see or drink water until I was over 20 weeks. Even taking a shower made me gag. Smile

Tylastar · 12/10/2014 11:18

Thank you for all the advice ladies. It's my first and I'm just worried.
OH says we should ring antenatal first rather than go and wait in A&E as they might not take me seriously or something.

If you can't keep even water down you made need an iv. You can so quickly become dehydrated.

Take care

JennyBlueWren · 12/10/2014 11:24

The fact you have a headache and feel strange suggests dehydration. Go now and they can replace the fluids via a drip and give you meds to reduce the sickness.

JennyBlueWren · 12/10/2014 11:24

Wouldn't do any harm to ring the antenatal department first but if they can't help do go to A&E.

Tylastar · 12/10/2014 11:26

Right, I'll ring now and get myself sorted and get myself up there. Thank you!

Tylastar- how are you doing??

Tylastar · 13/10/2014 06:00

I went up and they gave me an anti sickness shot. They did some tests and I have a UTI which was causing the headache. He also said the test said that the pregnancy wasn't showing up very strong and he couldn't feel my uterus. They sent me home with some antibiotics and anti sickness pills.

I'm feeling very confused and poorly :/
