Anyone else got a 12-week scan this week?

Hi all -

My 12 week scan has finally come round... It's this Monday.
Just wondering if anyone is in the same boat?
I have been lucky and had far less symptoms with this pregnancy (my 2nd).
However, I am now inevitably worried that I'm not pregnant!

Just keep reminding myself that there's only a 1% chance of missed miscarriage :-o

Good luck for all those scans this week.

x

I reckon we'll be wrenching mine out a week early (section for med reasons) so 15th is the date I have in mind. I'm hoping that April will prove to be less busy than September (when I had DD) on the postnatal wards but I'm sure I'm just kidding myself.

flopsybunny45 · 19/10/2014 14:51

Smogsville- ditto! Had dd late August and got sent to different hospital which was a long journey, and they were as busy so pretty crap experience. Fingers crossed April is less popular! X

Hilarious Flopsy! I'm now fully expecting quiet postnatal ward and midwives aplenty (ha ha). I do have a cousin named April as she was born then though, so there's a chance we might not be the only ones... x

mine went well! :-)

flopsybunny45 · 22/10/2014 20:05

Yay?! Well done Chachah! Due date?
I think we must all be due about the same time as HRH. I am not a royalist as such, but quite excited by this which is funny!!

official due date is May 4th :-)

had the same thought about K&W! we starting feeling sick around the same time, lol.

I'm mildly annoyed by it, though, to me it will really highlight the difference in treatment and how extra special her pregnancy and baby are. All babies should be equally special!!!

smogsville · 24/10/2014 09:49

Well done Chachah that's great news. Maybe kate won't get quite the royal treatment this time as it's only the spare not the heir?! I wouldn't swap with her - imagine every time you went out someone waiting to take a pic of you looking fatter than you did the previous day.

Chachah · 24/10/2014 10:16

"the spare"... hah Grin

yes it certainly comes with its drawbacks, too. Shudder.

Happy 20 week scans all... 30 mins off of ours! x

Just seen this thread flopsybunny45 how did your 20 week scan go? I have mine (20 week) tomorrow, due on the 25th April. It's a second baby for me too, so excited to be able to tell dd if she is having a brother or a sister!

SPackwood80 · 09/12/2014 09:23

Hi, I've got min in just over an hour!! I'm busily reading up on things to put my mind at ease on here! lol
I felt really silly being so worried aswell. Had spotting and cramps at 8 wks so was sent for an early scan and saw everything was fine.. even tiny heartbeat but still worried about 12 wk scan today.
I'm sure it'll be ok, just nerves.

Good luck everyone xx

flopsybunny45 · 11/12/2014 19:02

Hope they were all okay ladies!

Iliveona- We are due 26th April! It was lovely but we didn't find out...
What are you having?! We have a dd who is 15mo ... she loves poking my tummy. :-)

Flopsybunny scan was great, healthy active baby boy. Dd (she's 3) was a bit disappointed at first as she really wanted a sister but she came up with such a simple solution. She said to me: "I know mummy, I have an idea, we have a sister and a brother". She is really happy now tough, she has become very possessive and keeps pointing to my belly and say "it's my brother, not your brother".

flopsybunny45 · 12/12/2014 15:05

Aww! Do you have a good snap of the scan? x

We got a photo of the scan but it's not very clear because he wouldn't stay still at any point during the scan. In the end we settled for an action shot, he looks like he is frantically running on the spot and his arms and fists look like those of the red and blue boxer from that game where you have to keep pressing the button until your opponent's head pops off. If quite funny and cute even if we can't see his profile. How about you? Did you get a good shot?

ILiveOnABuildsite · 12/12/2014 16:41

Blurry but funny Grin

flopsybunny45 · 15/12/2014 13:06

Ah, what a poppet! Going to be a mover obviously.
We got a nice one, but have no idea how to put it on!
