Making mistakes at work!!

Just wondered if anyone else was experiencing this?

I about 5.5 months pregnant and for the past few weeks my work has taken a nosedive - I've been making mistakes (some serious) that I never would normally make. I wanted to avoid saying it was due to 'pregnancy brain' as colleagues might see that as a bit of a cop-out (and I hate that phrase!), but I should talk to my boss about it. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am feeling shattered at the moment and iron levels are low.

Oh I was completely incapable from about halfway through my pregnancy until DD was about 1 yer old!

I was making massive mistakes.

I think it's a "thing" which might need to be taken into account medically really. If I had had a job which involved other people's safety then bugger me! Half of them would be gonners.

No suggestions other than go to the GP and ask...iron levels are one thing!

That makes me feel a bit better, thanks. Yes, I guess I should be glad I'm not in a job where I'm responsible for people's welfare - that would not go well! Just hate the thought that my colleagues are probably discussing me and what a rubbish job I'm doing.

I'm 24+4 and I often can't string a sensible sentence together. I keep struggling to find the right word. It's really bizarre because I'm usually really sharp so I'm finding it all a bit hard work!

Everything seems to say it's perfectly normal though so not really much we can do!

Good luck Smile

I'm pretty sure there was a scientific study that acknowledged the real existence of "baby brain". It really is a thing.

I get so forgetful its ridiculous, sometimes I can't even remember basic words in the middle of a sentence - not like me normally.

I would discuss with boss and if any colleagues have been pregnant themselves then they probably know what your going through and won't judge you on your baby brain.
