What are the dangers of stress during pregnancy?
I am 21 weeks and easily stressed and can get overly emotional (even before pregnancy). It doesn't help that my school is being inspected next month and so management have suddenly decided to implement lots of changes in the nursery (where I work) which have not been discussed with me. I got very upset about this yesterday. My head said this was due to hormones and lots of other folk (who accepted that it was quite reasonable for me to be upset) reminded me that I needed to stay calm for the baby.

How worried should I be about getting stressed over the next month? Is there any help I can get with this?

Hello, please don't worry. I have been pregnant once and miscarried (not stress related). I spoke to the consultant nurse as I was worried about the stress and worry I'll be under with the next pregnancy - I'm obviously going to be bricking it next time. She said that it's a complete myth that stress causes miscarriage & that babies are hardwired to deal with stress due to the stress they're under during childbirth.

Stress may not be the best thing for you though so try and relax if you can Thanks

Thanks for the reassurance. Stressing about stress probably doesn't help ;)
