TTC after having hyperemesis

Hi have 2 children and we where ttc our third baby for almost a year, I fell pregnant and suffered horrendously with hyperemesis. I had bad sickness with my first too but no where near as bad as the third pregnancy. I got so ill I couldn't move from room to room without being sick. I started throwing up blood and got admitted to hospital. I had torn my stomach and had to stay in on a drip and was being fed anti sickness tablets. They tried every different one but none even touched the sides. I just couldn't stop the sickness and unfortunately went on to have an abortion as I couldn't cope any longer. I have regretted my decision and am desperate to have another baby. We have finally decided we will try but not untill after Xmas as I don't want to be ill over Xmas as it would not be fare on my 2 children. I'm so excited to have a baby but can't stop thinking of the hyperemesis and how I will cope with it.
Does anyone have any advise on how to get through it or anything I can do to help. My dr has suggested I take the anti sickness meds as soon as I conceive and take vitamin d. To maybe stop it b4 it kicks in!! I don't feel very hopeful on that idea tho. Has anyone tried that?
