Pregnant?!

After over a year and a half of trying we decided to have a month off, I was more stressed than ever and never for a moment thought I could be pregnant! After not really thinking about babies or pregnancy I realised I was a week 'late'. My boobs were sore (which is normal for before my period anyway) so I thought I'd do a test. I was waiting for it to come back negative and it didn't! A clearblue digital test said pregnant, 2-3 weeks!!! I did two more different branded tests to be sure, both of which were positive too. I'm finding it hard to believe it could be true. Tried to book an appointment at the doctors and they just said congrats, come back in a month to see a midwife!?! I feel like I need someone who knows what they're talking about to tell me I read the tests right.

Could it really be true?!
What now?!
Anyone else experienced this wait and the mind tricks and uncertainties that go with it?
I so hope nothing goes wrong! Fingers crossed!!!

Congratulations! Try not to stress yourself out about it. Enjoy it!

Thank you! Just waiting for something to go wrong.. after a year and a half it felt like it would never happen. Don't want to get too excited yet as I'm only about 4/5 weeks :)

Time to go over to the due in June chat thread?

Thanks Meditrina,
I'll check it out :)
Still feel like I'm making it up! Can't believe it! Guess I need to start believing it... 6 tests (took more today lol) all said yes!

I was in a similar position when I realised I was pregnant. We had just decided to take a break from trying as I was off work with depression and anxiety for a variety of reasons and suddenly realised I was late. Didn't believe it for one minute and think I did a total of 8 tests but found it difficult to fully comprehend until my first scan, which we had at 6 weeks due to bleeding. After that I was convinced and I'm still smiling I'm 20 weeks now with a very wiggly baby girl!
A massive congratulations!!! Grin

Congratulations! I know the feeling, it feels very unreal at first. Book in a appointment with a midwife, so at least you feel like you're doing something.

Bambi07 that sounds almost exactly the same as me! Glad everything is going well for you. Hope my pregnancy goes just as well :)
Foxyfemke - I booked one but got my dates muddled when ok the phone so it isn't until 10 weeks. Going to try n bring it forwards!
