Hi I'm new to this so hope I'm in the right place.
I've had 3 c-sections, my last one will be 8 years ago next month. I am currently 33 weeks pregnant with my 4th and my section scar has started to really hurt, when I touch it it is really tender. Sometimes I feel its going to split and I never felt this with my other pregnancy's. Is this normal after having 3 sections

If you feel something isn't quite right with your scar you need to get it checked out. Risk of complications increases with the number of c-sections. See midwife or GP about as soon as you can, it may be nothing but better to be safe.

Definitely let your midwife know.

I've had 2 c-sections and at my booking in appt for this pregnancy, the midwife made a big thing about the scar and said if it feels sore or starts to hurt, you need to get checked out so I'd def call the midwife if I was you. Xx

It's really important to mention this. Sometimes the uterus is stitched up with inverting sutures, so with each subsequent section, one gas more scar and less uterus...
I had a section with DS, but required repeated return to theAtre, so scar may be similar to multiple sections! and they gave drummed this into me at some length.
Good luck with MW and with the rest of your pregnancy x

Thankyou, yes I'm conslutant lead, have an appointment on the 20th with him to check on babies growth as all my 3 previous children had IGUR. Tried getting in touch with my communal mw on Friday but know one was answering the phones so not sure what days they do at clinic. Will hopefully get a appointment tomorrow if not I will ring my antenatal ward.
