Hi there ladies,

I recently had my implant removed and came on my period a few days afterwards. My period finished and now it's just a waiting game. Does the effects of the implant reverse immediately or are we in for a long wait time?

Any advice would be amazing.

Smile

As far as I know fertility returns immediately after the removal of the implant. I am a little surprised they did not tell you this at your appointment as it is usual to discuss family planning going forward from a removal.

Apparently it returns immediately, but I took precautions when mine was removed. I did track my periods for a good couple of years and they were more or less regular and consistent.

You might like to have a chat on the Conception boards, it really helped me when TTC: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception

Good luck!

It's pretty quick, I had mine removed in Feb, waited for my first cycle to start ttc and fell pregnant in June - 18 weeks now Grin
