Just how pregnant could I be?

I did a test today and it was positive. Last period was only a fortnight ago and was a proper period IYSWIM.

The lines came up within seconds so I'm worrying about twins (no idea if this would make the lines appear so quickly!) or being months pregnant!

I'm also terrified. DP does not want another baby (we have 3 DC). I can't stop smiling though so apparently I did rather want one.

I need to tell DP. This is not going to go well.

I had that and pregnancy has now been dated to the period before, mw has just said it couldn't have been a period but bleeding like a period can happen, I got a very strong positive 2 weeks after this supposed period.
im 10+3 now and there is def only one baby

Should I ask the doctor for an early scan do you think?

The dr is unlikely to give you a scan for this reason, especially as it's probably early days and you wouldn't see anything. They might do you a blood test though, the beta hcg number might give you an idea of how long you've been pregnant, although they're not entirely reliable either. Although when I got mine, it was so high that it looked like twins, but I knew the conception date.

Hi, I have been having irregular periods for a few years and was due to see the specialist as nothing happened. Anyway didn't think anything of it until I woke up one morning feeling sick, then was fine for the rest of the day and next day I was fine. The day after I was sick again out of the blue so did a cheap test I had laying around which was positive, I couldn't believe it as had been trying for 3 years and nothing. Went and got myself a clearnlue digital one which confirmed and was 3+. I booked in with the doctors as soon as I could and because my period being so long ago we didn't know how far gone. I then got an appointment with the midwife who said I was definitely no more then 12 weeks. I started getting pains so called the doctor and she worried me with ectopic pregnancy so I saw a different doctor who then sent me for a scan, and baby was measuring 16 weeks, I had complications at that scan so needed to go back the week after and baby was measuring 15 +4, again not everything went smoothly so waiting for my next scan on Monday. I just can't believe how far gone I am! I feel I have missed out on half of my pregnancy though :( and rather sad that I missed my 12 week scan! But of course over the moon I don't have to wait as long to have my baby :)
