Spotting, reassure me please!

Hello,

6+1 here, and been spotting very lightly for a few days now. Since Monday.

Got a bit heavier on Tuesday, nothing yesterday, but is back today and a bit redder rather than brown.

I'm trying not to worry. Scan booked by GP but not until Monday. This is second pregnancy, nothing like this happened last time.

Does anyone have any positive stories?

mummaduke they say that bleeding in pregnancy is very common but never 'normal' ie it really could be something or nothing.

I haven't got a positive story however there are lots and lots of people in the TTC boards who have implantation bleeding in early pregnancy and the pregnancy continues without a problem. Even gushing bleeds can be absolutely nothing! So try to stay calm.

Just had an early private scan. No pregnancy sac... I'm assuming the worst

I had gushing bleeds with both pregnancies. Now have DS1 and 2 fingers crossed all goes well for you.

How sure are you about your dates mumma?

They did a vaginal scan too, no sac seen, some small round dark areas - likely to be clots.

I'm being seen at the EPU tomorrow morning now to do blood tests, they want to rule out ectopic.

And v sure of dates, we only had sex the one time in recent months!

Had a positive test yesterday morning but I know I can't really rely on that anymore

Really tough time mumma and I hope you get some answers soon. I've been through early pregnancy bleeding with both outcomes and feel for you.
