Friendships affected by pregnancy?

23 weeks Pregnant with our first baby and over the moon. I've had a small close knit circle of friends for most of my life but since announcing they all seem to have disappeared. Obviously everyone has stuff going on in their lives but it feels like I've just been cut out. I've tried organising things and chatting to them individually to find out how they are (not to talk baby stuff) and nothing. Is this it now? Will I just have to accept that I have to find new pregnant friends or will things get better once baby is born?

In my experience things improve once the baby hits 1. Not being flip that was genuinely what seemed to happen with me and my close (non baby friends) I think its the time that you and they re engage as you come out the baby bubble and are more approachable, plus you can get pissed with them again. I had the complete opposite - all my friends have children and had them years ago, they stopped inviting me to stuff and I felt very, very left out. Now I'm pregnant their children are all five plus and I think I've just come to accept that I need to find new buddies as even though I'll be joining their 'club' their children will be older than mine. It is sad and I don't get why it happens. Ive never stopped asking my friends to join me and I'd be happy to go to children's birthday parties etc. just never get invited.

I've found that a friend of mine, was a close friend, has simply cut me off since I got pg. she doesn't keep in touch, doesn't come to things and I think she is jealous. I'm married and pg and she still lives at home. It's sad and I hope it improves after baby is born but we will see.
