Start trying now

There's a reason you have to take the pill every day - if you skip a day it might not work. So having skipped it for 14 days now, it's hasn't been working for 14 days

Took me 8 weeks to get my first AF and I don't think I ovulated that cycle. Took me 6 months to get a few regular cycles in a row and I got pregnant on the 6 month. Not everyone has to wait that long, I was on for 10 years so that might have had some effect. Good luck!

As pp have said just missing one pill can lead to pregnancy.

My cycles were never regular unless I was taking microgynon but they were back to their normal pattern the first month I stopped taking it. I think it took 4 months to get a bfp but we were just not using birth control as opposed to charting or trying to work out ovulation etc.

It took me 6 months to conceive after coming off microgynon.

Ive been on this pill before trying for 3 of mine (including current bump)

dd1 came off it at end of the pack had a period as normal, positive pregnancy test 4 weeks after that.
dd2 came off it half way through had 3 periods then fell pregnant I think dd2 might have happened sooner but I was ill for 6 weeks worth of "trying" with a horrendous stomach infection so there wasn't much trying going on
this bump came off at end of pack, 2 months later got a positive test

Try asap but expect a few months for your body to settle. My cycles really changed afterwards...turns out I ovulate really late too.

Came off microgynon in Dec, second cycle of actually DTD at the right time & got my bfp.

Keep it fun! Don't stress x

Have you spotted the MN has a Conception Topic? You might find it useful/interesting to have a browse there.

I had a weird experience, I came off microgynon half way through a packet, I had my withdrawal bleed, 4 weeks later I had a proper period, then I missed a period and got pregnant, so I had no idea if I'd been pregnant before the missed period but it turned out I got pregnant after it. It was weird.

It usually takes a few months for your cycles to settle but you can get pregnant before that. It just means it will possibly be harder to track ovulation etc until you are in a more regular cycle so it might be best to ignore tracking until you are regular and just enjoy sex every 2-3 days.
I came off in dec 2012 with the intention of ttc in April 2013 after my wedding. I had settled into a regular pattern by feb and was fortunate to concieve our first try in april.
Now awake with our 9.5 month old!

We expected it to take several months - a year to conceive after coming off Rigevidon (apparently the same as microgynon). Came off in Dec, was pg by Jan - due in less than 2 weeks! x

Dollypins · 09/10/2014 14:16

I was told by my GP it would take months, it took two weeks ;)
