Bleeding in early pregnancy

I'm 8+5 weeks pregnant, I've had a bit of light spotting today and I'm terrified, I had a miscarriage earlier this year at 12 weeks.
Has anyone had light spotting and everything been ok?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yes, me and lots of others Smile

I had spotting about 5 times from weeks 6 to 17 with DD. She's now 2. I think it was caused by a cervical ectropian (patch of super delicate cells on the cervix which are prone to bleeding in pregnancy).

Yes! Me. I had bleeding at 4.5 weeks, 9 weeks and 13 weeks. I went out of my mind but thankfully DD was fine. I think it is quite common in early pregnancy as your womb sheds the remains of it's old lining. Best of luck!

PS, sorry I realise that sounded a bit dismissive. It is scary of course - I was terrified the first time. Do get yourself checked out with an early scan if you want - bleeding is a good reason to have one.

Yes I had this at about the same time TheHoundOfWinchester. It was v scary but went to my GP who was lovely about it and said it is very common and also sent me to hospital for a scan. It happened on and off for a few weeks and then just stopped. Baby arrived happy and healthy at full term. I would definitely pop to your GP to put your mind at ease if you are worried.

I spoke to my MW yesterday and this morning but the spotting has now completely stopped, mw told me not too worry as it is very common.
I think I jut panicked after my experience earlier in the year, thank you all for responding Smile
