Need a hug! :( turned over in bed and felt a trickle. Went to bathroom, leaving a trail of wet behind me... 'Had a wee', went back to bed and waited... It happened again...
I'm now hooked up to a monitor in maternity triage, lying on my side, waiting for a doctor to come take a look to see if it is water or pee. Can safely say I hope I've peed myself!!
My water broke at 23 weeks with DS1 and had him at 29+5. DS2 was 36 weeks. Hoping history isn't repeating itself. I'm pretty scared Sad

Hugs. Not surprised you're scared. How long until the doctor is with you, any idea? do you have someone there?

Titsalinabumsquash · 07/10/2014 05:15

Early morning hug for you!

I hope it's wee too, although I never thought I'd say that to a stranger.

Hopefully the dr arrives quickly and gives you a positive plan of action. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Thanks

You're in the right place being looked after. Flowers

History repeating itself can sometimes be a mixed blessing. Know it sounds silly & I can't believe I'm saying this having had just 2 hours sleep tonight, but could you try to use the time to get some shuteye?

Thinking of you x

amy83firsttimer · 07/10/2014 05:19

Well done on getting to hospital. Seconding the shuteye suggestion.
Good luck.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 07/10/2014 05:55

Good luck!!

Loveallmyboys · 07/10/2014 07:05

Saw the doc and when he examined me he had to get a bowl to catch the water. So yes, waters have gone! Dammit! On the maternity ward now, leaking away. OH is here with me and the 2 kids are at my mums.
Had steroid injection and antibiotics so far.
Really appreciate the cyber hugs xx

Sorry Love, I know you were desperately hoping it wouldn't be. Glad you have your OH there. So what happens now? do you have to stay in hosp? thinking of you and your LO.

duvetfan · 07/10/2014 08:08

Sorry that it's not the news you wanted. Glad you're not alone. Good luck, I will be thinking about you. Thanks

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 07/10/2014 08:13

Sorry to hear that it was your waters - you are in safe hands, hope all goes well x

Titsalinabumsquash · 07/10/2014 08:18

Oh bugger, sorry to hear it wasn't the news you'd hoped, in one way I guess it's lucky that you know the drill with this situation and the hospital will know from your previous pregnancies what's what.

You're in the best place and I'm sure the kids are having a fab time with their Nan.

Do you have a plan for the coming days? Is baby happy in there?

I'll keep you in my thoughts today while I waddle about in the chicken coop, fixing them up for winter before my bump gets too big. Thanks

Littleturkish · 07/10/2014 08:21

Good luck my love- glad you're being looked after xxx

dancestomyowntune · 07/10/2014 08:23

Good luck, and hugs from me too. At least at 30 weeks it isn't as bad as at 23 weeks. Your in the best place.

daholster · 07/10/2014 08:24

Didn't want to read and run - good luck, at least it will hopefully arrive lots later than your first and be that bit bigger. Fingers crossed it stays comfy, will be thinking of you.

LBNM19 · 07/10/2014 10:24

Good luck hope your ok xx

LittlePeasMummy1 · 07/10/2014 10:27

Good luck with everything, I think in the majority of PROM cases it doesn't progress to labour so hopefully you'll be able to hold on for a little while yet

TheTravellingLemon · 07/10/2014 10:27

Sending you all the good vibes and thinking of you. Good luck Flowers

Faacksake · 07/10/2014 10:29

Hugs OP. Those steroid injections are a pain in the arse (litteraly) good luck Flowers

Loveallmyboys · 07/10/2014 10:30

Thanks ladies. Saw consultant who said I'll prob be in a couple days at least so they can monitor for infection and keep an eye on the little one. He seemed happy enough earlier when they hooked us up to the monitor. Going to check on him again soon I think. I could potentially end up staying in til he's born. Theyd ideally like me to get to 34 weeks then induce me. So, watch this space. No signs of labour yet though... Fingers crossed.
I love mumsnet!

Best of luck OP. Sounds like you're in the right place.

Stay put little one! Not time yet!!

Faacksake · 07/10/2014 10:38

My waters went at thirty weeks op she had other ideas about staying put though. Grin

There was another two thirty weekers born the same day as her. All three were out the unit in 6 weeks with no further problems.

Hope yours stays put though, although you will obvious know the drill and what to expect.

LittlePeasMummy1 · 07/10/2014 10:50

Sounds good. Mine went at 32+1 and within 10 mins I was having 'tightenings', so the fact all is quiet for you in that department sounds very positive!

molesbreath · 07/10/2014 10:58

You are much further along than you were with DS1 though.

Hopefully he will stay put for a similar length of time.

Try and relax and get some sleep Flowers
