Going crazy with all over itch!!!!

So I'm 31 weeks pg and I'm going nuts with an all over body itch. Basically I had an itch for about 2 weeks, then it stopped for a week but during that week I noticed my urine was bright orange a number of times. I had a consultant appointment week 29 and she told me if the itch continued to come back in and tests would be done. So last Wednesday I went back, largely because while the itch was mostly gone, my pee was now orange. The hospital did a blood test on me and apparently my liver function was fine. However I then began to itch like crazy again last Thursday all over and I haven't stopped since. My pee turned ok for a few days but now it's back being orange at times and I'm driving myself crazy itching everywhere. What should I do? I'm so scared the hospital hasn't pinked up something or other.

Yes please speak to your midwife again! OC must be considered. The itch can come and go, mine did.

Lots of sympathy I am up with a terrible itch but it is allergy related.

As you are preg though you must get checked out for liver probs

I had bad itching and it was a condition called puppp. Horrible but it went 7 weeks after giving birth. It didn't recur in 2nd pregnancy.

I had pupp with first pregnany/ post natal. Praying I don't get it again!!

Thanks folks. Ive been driving myself crazy again today with the itch. Going to ring the midwife in the morning. As a temporary measure Ive just had a homemade oatmeal bath and bought some Aveeno with oatmeal in it for dry skin. Praying that gives me some peace tonight until I speak to the midwife again tomorrow.

Ill keep you updated. Also going to look up this pupp to see what it is.

Yes do get tested again - darker urine was one of my symptoms when I was diagnosed with OC.

OC is very serious and can cause the loss of the baby, it is not dangerous to you and goes once the baby is born. Please keep a very close eye on the baby's movements and any change at all get yourself in to hospital.

Just back from hospital. They have taken urine and bloods and im going back tomorrow morning for a bile acid test which I understand conclusively tells whether OC is occurring or not. I also took in a urine sample to them which was dark. Totally inexplicable given the amount of water I am drinking these days.

They monitored the baby who seems perfectly fine. Baby movement has seemed less in the last number of days but the doctor explained to me that my placenta is lying to the front creating a cushion for the baby's kicks.

It's the whole loss of baby thing that makes me go to hospital. If they told me it was nothing, that all tests were clear then I could live with the driving myself insane. Its the fact that harm could be done to the baby that panics me and leaves me quite distressed.

I'll follow up with the results when I get them. Thanks again all.

I know nothing about front positioned placenta means you get less kicks so please please keep an eye and make sure you are getting regular movements.

I am sorry if it was my comment that distressed you.

It is by pure luck my baby is here. A midwife messed up big time and I nearly lost him.

I will be thinking of you and if at any time you are worried just go back to the hospital.
