Ooowwwweeeee!! Leg cramps in the night really bugging me. Now happening every night. This morning I woke up with a real doozie, starting yelping and pulling my foot up, then the other leg started cramping so I screamed more and husband woke up, leant over me and started pulling the other foot. He was between my legs which were airborne and being pulled, I farted. Mortified. Will the indignities never end? Now I'm limping around and absolutely not going back to bed, sleep is my leg-cramp enemy,.

have you tried wearing flight socks at night?
also drink plenty and take magnesium at dinner time.

TwigletFiend · 05/10/2014 11:04

Sorry but... Grin I just laughed so much I did a little wee.

You are not alone in feeling like dignity is a distant memory.

Have you had your iron levels checked? I had awful leg cramps that went away when I started tablets

EvilRingahBitch · 05/10/2014 11:13

Aww Grin.

Calcium/magnesium tablets fixed the cramps for me.

FruitBadger · 05/10/2014 11:43

Try tonic water, I started getting leg cramps about 18ish weeks but if I have one glass of tonic water with dinner that seems to just about keep them under control X

pippinleaf · 05/10/2014 12:33

I will try calcium and magnesium, thanks. I don't want to take iron as the prenatals with them left me badly constipated. Going to eat bananas (ugh) and do leg stretches before bed too.

cooling foot and leg spray help mine x

tomanyanimals · 05/10/2014 16:32

I got told to have some salt in my diet not a lot but because I didn't add it to anything at all and tried not to have foods with it in I just don't like the taste sprinkling a tiny bit on a main meal before bed did help not miraculously but I went from a few times a night to once and i knew if I hadn't had any.
Hope that makes sense

Plenty of water & a banana before bed seemed to work for me.

Loveallmyboys · 05/10/2014 22:23

Dignity? Sorry, I don't know what you mean?! Blush farting, burping, waddling, strangers looking up your what-not. Oh what new realms of indignities do we all have to look forward to next? Oh right, the very real danger of sh*tting yourself whilst a small person comes out of you! Awesome!

Biscoff · 05/10/2014 22:37

Banana every night worked for me too

Sleepingstarsmommy · 05/10/2014 22:43

Seconding tonic water. One glass a day and the cramps stopped.

Rainbow555 · 05/10/2014 23:00

I was picking so,ething up the other day off the floor in a squat position and sneezed, yup, peed my pants! The indignities just keep mounting.
