I think I might be pregnant but I'm on a working holiday visa in Australia!

I had fully protected sex 3 days before I came to OZ but the condom slipped off. Also, my period came much sooner than expected, it came only two weeks after my last one ended! And it came a week after having had sex, so does that mean there is still a chance I could be pregnant? I don't know if this is a stupid question or not because obviously I'm aware that you don't have a period while pregnant, but usually I am pretty regular yet this time I get the period MUCH earlier than expected! It was a full period, as in it lasted the same length of time as normal, it wasn't spotting either. Sorry I am just so worried and scared, especially because I'm in a different country.

Well get a test asap. No point worrying about it until you know.

And you can get periods while pregnant. My friend found out she was 5mths along when she was in Jordan of all places. She'd ignored all the symptoms as she was having periods which turned out to be a medical reason (sorry I don't know the details of that)

Is there anything else that makes you think you might be? Fwiw I got pregnant 4 mths after I arrived in London so I know how you feel. Best to just get a test and worry about what to do if it comes back positive

Echo the advice about testing and finding out -then you can decide next steps if you need to or else stop worrying.
Also start taking folic acid. A friend was working in India and found out she was pregnant quite far along -she'd just thought the sickness was something she'd picked up. She hadn't been taking folic acid and her DD has spina bifida as a result.

Definitely take a test to put your mind to rest. I've read that flying long haul can disrupt your cycle, so the flight to Australia could have had an effect on starting your next period early.
