My baby has been breech throughout this pregnancy, hasn't moved once. Or if he has he has switched back before all scans and midwife appointments.
I'm now 33 weeks and midwife on Friday had a quick feel and said yeah head down... I was in shock.
I haven't felt him move, I'm still feeling kicks in the exact same places ( really really low down) is this normal? I know the midwife knows more than me but she was really rushing me and I can't believe it feels the exact same !

My dd turned at 38 weeks and although I did feel her turn the kicks were still in the same place, I assumed they were now punches.

I could also tell because when she was breech I could feel her head under my ribs but after she'd turned it was much softer there.

Two midwives got it wrong though just before the scan and said she was still breech.

Insist on a scan. With my last baby every HCP thought baby was breech. She wasn't!

my baby was head down until 36 weeks then turned breech-I didn't realise though but in hindsight know when it happened, assumed kicks were punches!! Have had 2 scans and still breech. Booked for section on Tuesday and they will do one last scan (if turned will get sent home!).
I wouldn't worry at 33 weeks - there's plenty of time for baby to turn back and forth. If by 35/36 weeks you or MW are still concerned then ask for presentation scan.
When MWs listen into the heartbeat this also helps them determine where the baby is (if heartbeat above or below belly button) so she may have used that as well aa feeling to determine what position baby is in.

I was breech at 34 weeks but head down by 36 weeks and have been ever since. I had no idea baby had moved, the bum feels like a head to me and I get kicks/punches/wiggles everywhere.

My midwife managed to convince me my baby was head down.
I was a bit Hmm but thought she knows more than me so she must be right.
Of course she was wrong and had I ended up having an EMCS because he was breech.
Go with your instinct.

A scan is the only way to be sure, midwives and doctors can be mistaken. A presentation scan is often suggested - at my hospital this was a quick job with quite a basic mobile machine.

This is fascinating. At 33 weeks you might be able to feel some of this for yourself.

Mine was breech til 33 weeks and turned herself without me noticing! 3 different midwifes since then have confirmed she's head down...she was obviously sne
